Adoption Financing?

Idell Mulliniks: I am sorry to hear all those horrible people downing you. You want a child and work most people who have there own children dont work. There sorry! Anyway, I would see about going through fostercare. Or you may have to get a high intrest loan if this is what you really want to do right now. I know it cost alot for a child. And these people who are complaining if they didnt or dont have insurance they would be paying for there child through a hospital just liek you having to pay fees. Lay off everyone is different and they also need to GROW UP and stop being so hatefull!...Show more

Toby Women: First of all foster adoption is NOT FREE!!!!! I cannot believe how many people have written that. Our daughter's foster adoption cost almost $7000. It was well worth it, but the primary focus of the foster system is reunification NOT adoption.Second of all, those of you who continue to criticize adoptive parents or potential adoptive parents for trying to g! et financial help either by donations or via a loan need to get off your high horse - you don't have a clue!!!! One person compared it to getting a car loan or a college loan - omg you have got to be kidding. Let's just make you infertile and see where you go. I'm sorry, I am not answering the financing question, but I am tired of reading this judgemental garbage written by people who do not have a clue - this is the labor!!!!There are some grants - they are not easy to get, but they are available. You'll just have to do some online research. Also, you do get up to $10,000 in adoption credit on you taxes each year until you have claimed it all - we still have about $16,000 in tax credits waiting. You may want to do spell check too before you post so you don't get slammed for your grammatics.Response to TISH: Are you automatically assuming that anyone asking for help has "AGED OUT" of fertility. Why are you in this forum?...Show more

Jose Calaycay: Try Vegas.

Mickey Isle: It shouldn't be hard for a couple of "collage g! raduets" who make "resonbly" good money to save up for a couple of years.Sorry you no longer "hade the euqity to quilfy" for a home equity loan, maybe you should consider selling and downsizing a little? I'm sure a "collage graduet" such as yourself could find a nice fixer-upper and score a sweet deal with money left over to finance your adoption!...Show more

Houston Venezia: You're a college graduate...or "graduet"? Did you leave your spell-checker in your other pants? Oh, my mistake...you are a "COLLAGE" graduet...not college. That makes a lot more sense.I hope the "resonbly" good money you make is not at a job where you have to use actual words...or your job may not be as safe as you think. All I can say is, "Sucks to be you." If the cost of adoption is prohibitive, maybe you should not adopt. If the money is the biggest issue, you definitely should not adopt. Get a puppy. I'm sure 25% equity in your home will more than cover the cost....Show more

Cole! man Petropoulos: Three words:Part-time job.I have worked two & three jobs most of my life. See, I had adopters like you who didn't save, bought on credit, and just took on more than they could handle....Show more

Roosevelt Pendill: Did you seriously graduate from college? You should go back. It didn't take the first time. And by the way, adopting through foster care is free.

Verena Koop: "My wife and my self are both collage graduets and make resonbly good money.[...] Dose any one know of alteritve ways to finance an adoption with out a personal loan with a high interest rate"--try getting a refund on your "college education..."oh God make it stop! ROFLMAO!!ETA: to ms. "i'm infertile and you all have no ideal how hard it is..."many people are dealing with health issues that they lack money to deal with. and most of these health issues are not BECAUSE THEY AGED OUT OF THE FERTILITY SPECTRUM!--(i understand medical reasons for infertility, and those i do not i! nclude in my criticism).there are people who can't afford organ transpl! ants, treatment for cancer or another catastrophic condition, and are not on-line begging for money. many take out loans or unfortunately, go broke! to these people, i would donate. for this...no way! i am so sick of people making infertility the WORSE affliction in the world. hence deserves a pass for rudeness, entitlement, jealousy and soliciting money! and WE need to get off of our high horses?ETA: "ms. highhorse" (figuresk...) i did not assume most infertile people aged out...please read my qualifier in parentheses. or did you attend the same college as our friend chad and his wife...the sad truth is many women belly-aching about infertility WERE PREGNANT during college/grad school ...but found their little "love child" an inconvenience and had abortions! now they feel as if other young women should breed for them, or that medical insurance should pay for clomid and lupron injections to amp up their ovaries; or that...PEOPLE SHOULD DONATE MONEY TO FUND THEIR ADOPTION--! i have a problem with that! many women who had children young, sacrificed education, traveling and "livin' la vita loca." yet, are not on-line crying about it. one of the tenants of adulthood is "choice." many women crying infertile --please read my qualifier--made a choice to not have children when it was biologically optimum. (this criticism doesn't include women who had therapeutic abortions...) why am i here???? i'm a troll..bored and sadistically contrary!...Show more

Lu Snide: particular, somewhat actual they are fairly serious of your funds. you are able to desire to coach earnings to debt ratio and supply economic organization account balances, mortgages, titles, and all economic documentation. they are additionally going to envision to ensure you have a retirement plan, in case you wipe it out to pay for the adoption that's no longer likely to look stable! . foreclosures if an incredible hit on your credit which in addition th! ey examine. It incredibly seems such as you are able to desire to attend the six months till you're in a greater proper place financially in the previous you initiate the approach. whether you're no longer authorized, you nevertheless might desire to pay for the homestead learn and with what you assert I tremendously doubt a great homestead learn organization will approve you at your contemporary state of debt. Sorry!...Show more

Karie Mavle: Wait a minute. I thought adoption was supposed to be about giving a child a better life. Why would anyone want to give their baby to someone who needs to finance the fees? Now I agree the fees are outrageous but still. I don't think being as indebt as you are that you would qualify.ETA: I don't understand why someone's infertility is my problem and I'm sure as heck not going to pitch into a fund raiser or suport a government adoption grant so someone can adopt. If you can't afford it, don't do it OR advocate for lower fees.. Pe! ople should not be putting themselves in debt to adopt a kid. That defeats the purpose IMO....Show more
