Coleman Petropoulos: Don't ask people what you should invest in. You'll blame them if it goes down or if you lose it and really regret it.You should learn how to invest it yourself. Go read some beginners investing books and slowly read the harder stuff. It's worth it trust me. At 15, you got maybe 2-3 years before college starts. I hope you don't think that you can turn that $1k into $10k or something to pay for college. It's possible, but definitely not common. You should expect maybe $1300 in 2 or 3 years if the market holds up (and I think it will). Advice: Learn how to buy good undervalued companies and how to determine whether or not they are under or overpriced. In the long run, you will be rewarded many times over. Mel Crapo: Invest $1000 into stock market won't make you any mone! y. Maybe Forex currency market can because of high leverage. Stock or Forex market are risky. Make sure you know what you are doing before investing. Only invest what you afford to lose and apply good risk control management.
