Is Music Theory a visual arts class?

Oren Eskelsen: Some very misunderstanding going on around here.Can you find 'Music Theory' of the categories listed of Yahoo Answers under 'Visual Arts'?Well?Those who have come over to 'Performing Arts' are usually looking for their answers for music theory.Visual only, as you may need to read or become familiar with musical indicators as script, sight reading or history of music in general.It is also included as some varieties, among others, for the Humanities study. As even Humanities will include Art Appreciation or Art History. Geeze!Comeback: Obviously.Well, why be so shallow about it? As you have written, you only describe what a broad meaning other than graduate or business courses in electives that the high schools in general, usually offer from the freshman to senior curriculum, four year programs.Performing Arts is a broad enough title to have sub categories, but still isn't Visual Arts. Or, is Music Theory. But whoever put it into 'Visual Arts' must think it ! has to do with including it with communication, humanities, media arts or the entertainment fields of endeavor. Ezekiel Kadner: Obviously, I know it's not visual arts, but clearly, you guys probably misread the "a-g requirement" part or probably don't know what it is. I wouldn't be asking this question if the a-g requirements included the category "performing arts".
