Benny Stehno: Green smoothie is not necessarily healthy because when you mix greens and fruits togather , since they digest at different rates, they can create gas and bloati! ng in your stomach. Also some people have trouble digesting all the fibers, however, if you want to give it a try, go head. Green 'Juice' however is a much BETTER option than green smoothie. Remember that the only fruit you can use with greens is green apple (because green apples are slow digesting , fruits on the other hand are fast digesting and need to be processed directly in the intestines. If you mix fruits like bananas with greens, they will have to sit in the stomach waiting for the greens to digest and cause fermentation and gas problems). For green juice you need:1 bunch of kalea piece of ginger1 lemon2 green apples1 bunch of celery stick.Just juice all the above ingredients up. If you don't have a juicer, just blend it up and filter through a cotton muslin cloth (you can buy from amazon). For fruit smoothie, here is a simple recipe I like:frozen organic strawberries (about 10)2 ripe bananasapple juicealmond milkJust blend everything up and strawberry banana smoot! hie is ready!For plant based diet, I would recommendBreakfast:! 30 oz veggie juice or green juiceLunch: 30 oz fruit smoothieDinner: Big saladThat's what I eat, and you will feel great and look great!
