Marita Stadick: I was here on Y Answers for something or other, then this question was displayed on the sidebar...
Whitney Saborido: It depends where you live.
Brock Anwar: Beer itself has no cholesterol, as it's not an animal product. However, alcohol consumption (beer or other spirits) does contribute to high triglycerides, a portion of your lipid panel.
Jed Porada: YES
Jacinta Moitoso: Depends on what kind of drink you're talking about. Mixed drinks that contain vodka, tequila, or rum is going to have more alcohol that a beer. Vodka, tequila, and rum is usually 80 proof
David Kuper: Not really. Beer has no cholesterol at all. However, beer has a lot of calories. About 300 calories per pint (half a liter) on average, but they all come from carbohydrates. This means that if you drink a lot beer, you will get fat, but this will be no different than if you just ate a lot of spaghetti or potatoes.
Lynn Melbourne: The best beers I have ev! er tasted were Dogfish Head. The brewery is located in Delaware and they make a great line of beers for all taste buds. I personally enjoy powerful tasting beers like their 60 and 90 minute IPAs. They have a vast collection ranging from light belgian types to lagers to porters. I also heard they crossed into liquor territory. Something that is defiantly worth checking out.Happy Drinking!...Show more
Newton Fedorko: Beer contains no cholesterol. It also doesn't make you fat, at least not more than overconsuming any other food does.
Luis Mellon: There isn't one. Beer varies pretty wildly, but it is usually in the range of 3-10%, although there are some that are beyond 30% abv. Wine, depending on if it's fortified or can be aywhere from 7%-20% and up, while hard spirits are anywhere from 20%-80%, with most mixed drinks weighing in at 10-20% abv.
Lonnie Jehle: I live in Germany here everyone drinks beer all the time even younger kids in the kindergarten. beer! for breakfast beer for lunch beer for a snack beer for dinner! even now i´m drinking beerGerman beer is the best in the world so go to hell with you crappy american beer or come to Germany
Lynn Melbourne: Extremely good question, hope we get some good answers
Elvie Drumgoole: One of my favorites is Shiner Bock or Zeignbock
Heidy Fujikake: Pliny the Elder by Russian River is absolutely amazing I wish they would distribute to Indiana.
Cassondra Vanholland: Yes, in America it is. They show people drinking beer in other countries, but America is rather hypocritical in that area. Common sense would dictate that if it's a drink, you should be able to show people drinking it, but not in the old U S of A.Another random note of hypocrisy: Jack Daniel's is the most famous whisky in the world, however, if you go to Lynchburg, TN and tour the facility, you cannot buy it there or anywhere in the town. Reason? The town is dry and selling alcohol there is illegal.Go figure.Eru: I just got back from Germany. Yes, your ! beer is very good. But not quite as good as the ego you are displaying....Show more

Ramon Dahlheimer: Beer High Cholesterol
Jed Mutone: It depends on your own preferences but for me Yuengling Lager or Stella Artois are the best tasting.
King Bringle: Too much alcohol is not good for the liver. Abstain from drinking alcohol for three days will give a better cholesterol test result. For the best answers, search on this site https://smarturl.im/aDL4H

Donovan Stallons: Beer doesn't contain cholesterol at all. Various researches have shown that a regular moderate alcohol consume increases the level of good cholesterol (HDL), helping to protect arteries. This is true for beer too. Regular beer consumers also show a lower level of a protein associated with blood clots. It means that they seem to be more protected against heart disease. So, beer can benefit our health, but of course, it should not be abused, because of well known alcohol dangers....Show more

Irving Jordahl: There is no standard percentage of alcohol in drinks, it varies depending on the source of the d! rink, the method used to brew/distil it and the conditions it was made in.You could probably consider individual types of drink as having a general range of % alcohol, such as beer and ale typically having a range between 3-6%, while wine can be like 8-15% and spirits vary widely, from 20-80% but even then, the percentages of drinks vary widely, so you can never predict the strength of any drinks....Show more
