What all is needes for car audio in home?

Garry Ohmen: Im not familiar with computer pieces what would be a good power supply and will I need a plug in for it and can I run a 2000 rms system on it

Ileen Oshell: A PC power supply will not be able to push enough amps for a amplifier, its just keep on cutting off... you will either need a really nice and powerful 12V power supply, or a car battery with a charger in your home haha

Leisa Brodnex: i guess you have all the equipment needed, wires, stereo amp, ect. now you need power. a pc power supply will do. if you have an 12v dc power supply larger than 400 watt your on. first thing to to is on the 20 pin connecter short the green wire with any ground, this can be done by adding a jumper cable in between, this will turn the power supply on. than the + from the amp goes to the yellow wire on the psu, that's your 12v and the ground goes to the black wire next to it. i guess you are capable enough to to the rest of the installation, if not the case shoot me and i'll explain further...Show more
