Charline Granes: Computer Engineering and Computer Software Engineering are similar to Electronic and Electrical Engineering and in my opinion are both considerably harder than Computer Science. However I am Doing Computer Software Engineering and I wish I was doing Computer Science instead - engineering is so boring. The 2 Engineering ones will also be much more hadware orientated as opposed to the programming approch Computer Science takes.
Caryl Mclaen: Most computer science degrees i have seen (my friends went different places to me) will start you with the basics at year 1 of the degree... but it wouldnt hurt to have a basic understanding of Java and C# (specifically with object orientation for both) as these two are the most used programming languages at the moment i thinkHope this helps...Show more
Mozell Sponsler: Yes, you can still transfer. Most schools require a 3.0 GPA for transfer students, and a minimum of 24 credits(or a high school transcript sh! ould do).Good luck...Show more
Frederick Mccoach: Computer Science does a lot of the programming and such.Computer Engineering does more of the hardware and software items.
Micah Schwarcz: One "W" is never a big deal. If you have a pattern of "W''s then its time to worry.
Cody Shimko: A W is much better than an F, and as long as there aren't many Ws on your transcript, most universities will have no issue with it. A 3.3 is a good collegiate GPA, as long as you meet your minimum transfer hour requirement for wherever you're wanting to transfer, you should be fine.
Teodoro Lamond: Hi, I'm a sixth form student currently doing my Alevels, now on the second year doing A2. I have a really strong interest in doing computer science at university level but I am afraid I won't be ready for it by the time I get to that stage. In my AS results I got 3A's in Maths, Applied ICT Single and Media Studies and am continuing these courses into A2 (which I have just re! cently started). The reason I am worried about starting a comp! uter science course is because I have about the same knowledge in ICT as any normal person at my age. So basically, I'm not a "wizkid" in ICT but I know the basics of a computer and how to use it efficiently. All I want to know (besides from the entry requirements) is how much experience in understanding and using ICT do you have to have before pursuing a Computer Science course? So will I need to make sure I have a good knowledge in certain areas before I go? Will I need to master any software programs (such as Java or C++) before going? Just general questions really :)Thank you for answering,JP.s. I love and excel in maths, so any worries about having a certain expectation of maths level shouldn't be a problem :D...Show more
Sheldon Lally: I'm sure you need a general understanding of biology, but I would think chemistry is more important in pharmaceuticals.
Whitley Leopold: I understand that most pharmacy schools will accept people who haven't done biology at ! A-level but i wanted to know how useful an biology a-level is in getting through pharmacy school and if i would struggle on the course only having a gcse in biology. Sorry, that was really long-winded haha, but hopefully what i'm trying to get at makes sense!
Toya Braskett: Atm, i've chosen to do Chem Maths and Geography a-level, i think i'm better at physics than biology but just really unsure about which one to take!
Fermin Tara: Does a Withdraw look bad on a college transcript?? =(!! I had to withdraw out of an online class because my access code didn't work. I'm afraid this ruined me! Can I still transfer to a good college? My GPA is a 3.3 =(.
